Set up Microsoft Exchange Email account for Samsung Galaxy Tab

  1. Press the Home Key 
  2. Press the Menu Key  and tap on Settings
  3. Tap on Accounts and sync
  4.  
  5. Tap on Add account.
  6.  Tap on Microsoft Exchange

  8. Enter in the email address, the password for the account, and tap Next
  9. Tip. Tap the box below password to enable sending email from this account as default is you so choose. This option will only appear if there will be more than one account.
  10. The client will populate the fields based upon what has been entered on the previous screen. If the information appears correct, tap Next.
  11. Important Information! In order to increase security, often Outlook Web Access (OWA) web portals are configured differently. If the connection fails to be established, check with your IT division for proper site information. Note: Do not enter https directly in the Exchange server field if site is using SSL. Instead, tap "User secure connection" and input the reset of the address (i.e. mymail@mydomain.com). Note: Please see the information in step six if you encounter the below.
  12. The below shot shows sucessful communication with the Exchange server
  13. Tap Next to leave settings as default and proceed to step 12. Otherwise, continue with flow.
  14. Tap on Email frequency and tap on how often to push/pull data
  15.  
  16. Tap on Amount to synchronize and tap on how many days worth of information to be pushed to the device.
  17. Tap on the other available options to either enable or disable. Tap on Next to continue.
  18. Input a name for the account and the name you would like transmitted on outgoing message, tap Done when complete.

How to turn off/on your Data Roaming settings



Most smartphones are capable of automatically connecting to a roaming operator network when you travel abroad. However to avoid getting high bill charges, we recommend turning off this function. You will still be able to make and receive phone calls but will not be able to receive automatic software updates, emails, and instant messages or browse the Internet.

Iphone
Step 1 : Tap Settings
Step 2 : In Settings, tap General
Step 3 : In General, tap Network
Step 4 : In Network, swipe Data Roaming and ensure it is set to OFF

(Repeat all the steps and turn Data Roaming option to ON to switch your Data Roaming back on)

Android
Step 1 : Tap Menu
Step 2 : Tap Settings
Step 3 : Tap Wireless Control
Step 4 : Tap Mobile Networks
Step 5 : Check the Disable Data Connection and uncheck Data Roaming

(Repeat all the steps and check Data Roaming to switch your Data Roaming back on)

BlackBerry
Step 1 : Go to Home Screen
Step 2 : Click on Options
Step 3 : Click on Mobile Network
Step 4 : Under Data Services, ensure the Roaming option is OFF

(Repeat all the steps and turn Roaming option to ON to switch your Data Roaming
back on)
